Astute Technology Produces Videos That Celebrate the Contributions of Interventional Cardiology

The American College of Cardiology (ACC) launched a new permanent interactive exhibit at its Washington, DC Heart House location on October 11, 2008. The exhibit celebrates Dr. Andreas Gruentzig and his courageous and visionary work. Through photos, stories and videos, the exhibit honors the history of interventional cardiovascular medicine, showcasing its broad based and far reaching impact on health care and medical science.

Working alongside ACC, its publications team, and the Editor-in-Chief of JACC Interventions, Astute Technology integrated the interactive kiosk hardware and software as well as wrote, directed and produced the three videos, accessible by touch screen, which address specific impact areas in interventional cardiovascular medicine including patient care, education, and research and innovation. Produced by Astute Technology, the video takes the viewer through a journey rich with historical and state-of-the-art images, video, and medical animation.

Visitors to Heart House are encouraged to view and interact with the exhibit when attending programs, meetings and social functions.
