Facilitated Learning

Facilitated Learning is one of the fastest growing forms of internet training. The Astute Technology Facilitated Learning module helps you build educational programs and materials that can then be distributed to trainers all over the world. Facilitators can teach the courses in the classroom setting using materials provided to them through a customized facilitator portal. Through the portal they can also manage their students, view progress, provide access to online materials and view test performance at the individual or class level. Students can then access a specific student portal where they can take tests, complete evaluations, and print certificates directly from their home or office based on the learning they accomplished in the classroom.

With the Facilitated Learning Module, customized kits are created for facilitators which may include:

• A DVD which may include vignettes to facilitate case-based learning
• PowerPoint presentations for guiding the discussion
• Participant hand-outs
• Instructions for participants on how to access the online testing platform
• Access to an administrative tool for viewing participant test compliance and results

Facilitated Learning has been proven to be particularly effective when:

• time or access to online learning is not available in the work environment
• group participation would foster compliance
• immediate compliance is needed and can be mandated through classroom attendance
• participants prefer the dynamics and interaction of a classroom environment
